Gujarat (India), June 8: inDriver, the international ride-hailing service with over 100 million users worldwide, is launching intercity rides in the state of Gujarat, including major cities like Ahmedabad, Surat & Vadoadar. inDriver connects drivers and passengers, and allows them to independently agree on all the terms of each trip. With inDriver intercity rides people can travel long distances without compromising on safety and convenience.
inDriver’s unique model, Real-Time Deals (RTD), allows passengers to make a price offer on their ride request and negotiate with nearby drivers. Aside from the fare, passengers are also able to select their driver based on their rating, estimated time of arrival and vehicle model. In turn, drivers are not automatically assigned to passengers, and can choose to accept, ignore or negotiate a more preferable fare. The feature allows inDriver users to get affordable rides at any time of the day.
“We are excited to bring inDriver Intercity rides Gujarat. For at least the first six months of operation, inDriver will not charge drivers a service fee, meaning they will receive the entire fare of every ride (excluding applicable taxes and tolls). Thereafter, the fee for drivers will be significantly lower than that of other ride-hail services operating throughout the city. With inDriver Intercity, riders can travel to neighbouring cities and visit popular destinations for weekend getaways, staycations, or simply take an adventurous road trip,” Pavit Nanda, Indriver, South Asia PR Manager said.
With inDriver Intercity rides, passengers can book carpool rides and connect with other potential passengers and highly-rated drivers in order to get where they are going while paying a very reasonable amount.
In terms of safety measures, inDriver provides the option to share users’ GPS location and ride details in real-time with trusted contacts. In addition, users can connect directly with customer support if they need assistance. In the event of an emergency, users can connect with local law enforcement agencies through a dedicated emergency button.
The inDriver app is available for download for free from the Google Play Store, Apple AppStore and Huawei App Gallery.
